The philosophy behind the All Energy Day

Our philosophy embraces a multidisciplinary approach to the energy transition. At All Energy Day, we concentrate on the four essential elements: technology, policy, design and entrepreneurship. But our vision for the day goes beyond just exploring these topics. We aim to inspire participants from diverse disciplines and backgrounds to actively contribute to a more sustainable future.

Technology

When will wind energy be profitable? Can airplanes fly on solar power? Will seawater provide energy for Dutch households?

Big advancements are being made in the whole technology sector. In the field of energy we are also seeing a succession of innovations. However, especially in the field of energy storage and distribution large steps are still to be made.

Design

How do we make energy producing houses? Will every city be self sustaining in the future? Will it be possible to recharge our vehicles using a charging road?

It is important that changes will also be made on a consumer level. Innovation in areas such as recycling, energy usage, and sustainable packaging is vital for a sustainable future.

Innovation

Which start-ups will lead to actual sustainable companies? How to get from a business plan to a healthy and successful company? What are the best energy-related start-ups at this moment?

Entrepreneurship is essential for progress in the energy industry. Often, the most unexpected ideas and extraordinary problem-solving approaches come from innovative entrepreneurs who can think outside the box.

Policy

Does the current European energy policy work? Is investing in an offshore wind park the right decision? Should the government subsidize electric cars?

The transition from nonrenewable to renewable energy must occur gradually. Clear regulations and policies need to be in place to facilitate this transition. The policy should support the processes required to achieve the goals.
